- Know your limit
Say the match is twenty minutes old, your team looks sharp, and the price on them winning has just moved. Live betting lets you act on that feeling while the game unfolds. It is lively and it is quick, which is both the fun and the danger. This page explains how in-play prices move, why your bet might be held or refused, how cash out generally works, and what to check on JitaAce before you try it. Every live bet is placed on the JitaAce site.
How in-play odds move
Imagine the price board as a live heartbeat monitor. Each goal, wicket, break of serve or red card nudges the chances, and the odds jump to match. Even when nothing dramatic happens, prices drift as time runs down. A team holding a one-goal lead, for example, becomes a shorter price with every passing minute.
Because the numbers change so often, the price you saw a second ago may be gone when you tap. Many sportsbooks ask whether you accept price changes. Read that setting on the bet slip so you know what you are agreeing to.
Suspensions, delays and rejected bets
Say a penalty is awarded and you rush to bet. The market will almost certainly be suspended for a moment while the book updates. That pause protects the book from bets placed on information it has not priced yet.
Live slips often have a short delay before a bet is accepted, and some bets are rejected if the price moves during that delay. None of this means something is broken. It is how in-play markets usually work. If a bet does not go through, check your bet history before trying again so you do not double up by accident.
- Suspended markets reopen once the book has re-priced.
- A short acceptance delay is normal on live bets.
- Always check bet history after an error message.
- Stream or score delays mean you may be watching slightly behind real time.
Cash out in general terms
Cash out, where a sportsbook offers it, lets you settle a bet before the event ends. The book offers a value based on the current price. It can lock in some profit or cut a loss, but the offer always includes the book's margin, so over time it tends to cost a little. We have not confirmed whether cash out is available on JitaAce or on which markets; look for a cash out button in your open bets after logging in.
Live markets by sport
In-play menus look different from sport to sport. Football tends to offer next goal and live totals. Tennis brings next game and set winner. Cricket has its own world of over-by-over markets, which our live cricket betting guide covers in detail. For football specifics, see the football markets page, and for the maths behind any price, the odds explainer.
We have not confirmed which sports JitaAce streams or prices in play at any time. Open the live or in-play tab after logging in to see what is running.
Habits that keep live betting fun
Say you have lost two in-play bets in ten minutes and a third one feels like the fix. That is the chase, and live betting feeds it because the next chance is always seconds away. Set a stake and a number of bets before the match starts, and stop when you reach either. If betting stops feeling fun, our responsible gaming page explains limits and breaks.
